No Kill is a Brooklyn based trio whose debut EP, Loose Teeth, is an unfailing collection of fuzzed-out jangle pop. Playing off the spirited girl-guy dueling vocals of Jamie Cogar and Andrew Trouwborst, each of the five songs found here are gems, but my favorites right now are “Sledding” and “Hallelujah” – not the Leonard Cohen classic, but a shambling wall of distorted pop perfection. About the EP, the band says, “we sought to capture a raw, lo-fi, live sound that looks back to the days when bands made studio recordings to capture a sonic moment.” Need I say more? Highly recommend you check this stuff out.
